Pastor Stan Davis

Hi, I am Pastor Stan, and I am blessed to be part of the team here at Mount Hope Community Church.  I joined in December of 2015, as the Help/ Care Pastor.  Now I am the Associate Pastor and serving as the Missions Director.

I started ministry out at Mount Hope Church in Lansing as a “Care” Pastor overseeing counseling (premarital, marital, grief, and any other situation that might arise). Long and short of it is that I was there to help people walk through any situation that they might find themselves facing.

I am here to lend a helping hand in any way that I can, to help Pastor Maryl accomplish what the Lord has laid on her heart to do, here in the church and out in the community.

Things that influenced who I am:

I am the youngest of five, (if you have read Kevin Leman’s “Birth Order” you might gain some insight into my humor.)  I spent the formative years of my youth just south of the township of Paradise, (which is located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula) spending my days swimming in Lake Superior or running through the Hiawatha national forest.  Those years planted seeds that later found their way into my first novel, “Through Glass Darkly.”

On to more important facts:

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior just a few weeks before I was married to Denise, back in 1985. It was at that time that I also felt the call to enter the ministry. Over the last 35+ years, we have been blessed to raise three wonderful kids who have all entered marriage and have blessed us with two wonderful sons-in-laws and a wonderful daughter-in-law. They have also made us grandparents 7 times over.

I have worked not only in the church as a counselor, but I spent 8 years counseling and helping troubled youth, an experience that I found both rewarding and eye-opening. So now here I am, hoping to be a help to you also.
